Pioneers of fresh, fragrant, flavourful single varietal wines
The “Littoral” spirit is evocative of the cool breeze that blows on the range’s five premium wines. These wines are resplendent with vivacity; they are fruity and flavourful, boasting an explosive nose. The Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grenache rosé hail from vineyards that are influenced by the Mediterranean and its sea spray.
Stretching from Aigues-Mortes in the east to Perpignan in the west, forming a 200-km long, 15-km wide strip, this immense maritime façade faces due south and is swept by sea breezes, as well as the mistral and the tramontane winds. The vines grow on the flatlands where the soil is composed of recent alluvium, and young, fertile silt.
The pioneer of single varietal wines, Fortant de France asserts more than ever before its link with the Mediterranean and the town of Sète with labels that are evocative of the history of the House which is closely linked with the influence of the sea.
