Powerful, Concentrated and Elegant
Crafted with grapes from the hills and mountains, the typicity of the grape varietals is expressed differently depending on where the grapes come from. This selection has resulted in seven wines that are representative of their terroir: Viognier (limestone hills), Syrah (volcanic) hills, Malbec (limestone hills), Merlot (Permian hills), Cabernet-Sauvignon (Jurassic hills), Chardonnay (limestone mountains), Carignan (limestone mountains).
The hills, set amid a scrubland landscape fragrant with thyme and rosemary, are planted with vines that grow at altitudes of between 50 and 250 metres, where they are subjected to a climate that is both hot and dry, yet with cool nights. These are ideal conditions for the production of full-bodied, fleshy wines with aromas and flavours of ripe fruit underscored by spicy notes and boasting fabulous length on the palate.
The vines in the mountainous “Grands Monts” terroirs at the foot of the Cévennes and Montagne Noire ranges, that grow at altitudes of between 250 and 400 metres yield complex, elegant wines that are all finesse and freshness. These varietals express the pureness of the fruit and feature fine, floral notes. These wines’ powerful aromas and flavours are balanced by minerality thanks to rich, diverse soil profiles : limestone, sandstone, clay, schist, volcanic rock.
