In the early eighties, the Skalli family decided to work in close collaboration with selected growers of the South of France to plant Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot et Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.

This partnership with winegrowers that has lasted for over 30 years, is the brand's key to success : it ensures that top quality standards are met at every stage of production from vine to bottle. In addition, our winegrowers are committed to following a rigorous charter of ecological sustainability in the vineyard.

All our wines are harvested on selected soils in the South of France : chalk, clay and gravel hillsides and terraces between Montpellier and Carcassonne. A blend of grapes grown in complementary vineyards ensures the unique character of each Fortant wine.
